These days, John continues exploring sagebrush hills, working as the Western Wyoming Stewardship Director for The Nature Conservancy. He cherishes the simple joy of watching his children discover nature and has spent the last decade or so working alongside admirable people in Red Canyon, where he tries hard to listen to the land and its people.
