Jess Johnson: The Shadow that Walks Behind Us is Four-Legged

Jess Johnson grew up ranching in the West…

…which instilled in her a wanderlust for wide expanses of public land and a deep appreciation for the wildlife that inhabit it. Jess spends most of her free time archery hunting and exploring the wild mountains of Wyoming.

She told this incredible story at our very first Houlihan Narratives event, held on November 4, 2017 at the Bhava Shala in Lander, Wyoming. Our theme that evening was “Time Out.”

These days, Jess continues her work at Wyoming Wildlife Federation as Government Affairs Director and is a Co-founder and Advisory Council Member at Artemis Sportswomen.

Music for this season comes from artist Jason Tyler Burton, featuring the song “On My Mind” from his album Lost Behind the Ranges.

The Houlihan Narratives is possible in part thanks to the generosity of the LOR Foundation and is produced by Plug Tone Audio.
